ROLE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION IN SHAPING STUDENTS VALUE AND WORLDVIEW
Abstract
Business education plays a significant role in shaping students' values and worldview by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary to navigate the complexities of the modern business landscape. By integrating ethics, critical thinking, and diversity into the curriculum, business schools prepare students to become responsible and ethical leaders in the global marketplace. Through exposure to ethical dilemmas, case studies, and diverse perspectives, students develop a strong ethical compass, critical thinking abilities, and a global mindset that guide their decision-making processes and actions. As students graduate and enter the workforce, they are equipped not only with technical expertise but also with a set of values and principles that drive them to make ethical and socially responsible decisions, contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive business environment. Business education serves as a cornerstone in shaping students' values and worldview, empowering them to lead with integrity and positive impact in today's dynamic business world. It is recommended among others that business educator should focus on teaching students how to critically evaluate information, analyze data, and make informed decisions, business education should expose students to a diverse range of cultures, perspectives, and global business practices.
